HQ 9P Air defense system is has capacity to intercept multiple targets including aircrafts, missiles & other weapons. This system can effectively intercept & destroy multiple targets from 100 KM of distance & it can also destroy enemy’s precious assets accurately. Pakistan armed forces Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa attended the commissioning ceremony of the HQ-9/P high to medium air defense system (HIMAD). Every Pakistan thinks that this was best decision to procure new Air defense system capable to intercept missiles etc.

The HQ-9/P has an engagement range against cruise missiles and aircraft in excess of 100 km with a high “single shot kill probability”. However, this range is actually thought to be only against aircraft, and the radar cross section requires to achieve this range is unknown. Engagement ranges against cruise missiles and similar targets are thought to be much shorter, around 25 km.

With the acquisition of this HQ 9p Air defence system we hope that Pakistan Army shall engage its enemy with more precision & accuracy.

HQ-9/P Air Defense System Pakistan

Each battery contain 32 missiles. Induction of HIMADS will significantly enhance Comprehensive Layered Integrated Air Defense (CLIAD) shield of aerial frontiers of Pakistan. Pakistan previously showed interest in Russia’s S-300 SAM system.

We considers HQ 9p as a strategic long-range Surface to Air Missile (SAM) with remarkable flexibility and precision. It is capable of intercepting multiple air targets including aircraft, cruise missiles. It can also engage beyond Visual Range Weapons at ranges over 100 kilometers with Single Shot Kill Probability.
